Sterling State Park
State Park Dr., is less than a mile north of I-75 off the N. Dixie Hwy. exit. 289-2715. 1,300-acre park on Lake Erie. There are grills, tables, a boat launch, fishing, metal detecting, swimming, hiking, watchable wildlife, biking, picnic shelters, six miles of hiking/bicycle trails. Season passes available. There are 256 camping sites, paved parking pad with a full hook-up with water and sewer, toilets and restrooms.
Fees
Daily or yearly fee for park entry: resident annual, $24; nonresident annual, $29; resident daily, $6; nonresident daily, $8. Michigan Recreation Passport program starts Oct. 1 with a $10 voluntary fee for Michigan residents getting vehicle registration at Secretary of State and out-of-state residents paying $8 for daily pass or $29 for annual pass.
